Thanks to so many generous supporters, friends and volunteers, last night’s 4th Annual MattSail Gala was a great success. Special thanks to our hosts, Dr. Bert and Laima Zarins for providing the most spectacular venue imaginable and to our sponsor Mattapoisett Boat Yard for all of their amazing support of this event and our sailing programs over the years!

MattSail 4th Summer Gala Auction Items

We are looking forward to another amazing evening next  Saturday night (August 14) We’ll be honoring Karl M. Collyer and Seth Mendell and celebrating and supporting Tri-Town Youth Sailing. There will be great food and music and we have lots of unique items in our live and silent auctions including:

William E. Mee Regatta Results

Sunday’s (Aug 23, 2009) Standard Times’ SeaNotes column by Barabra Veneri posted the results from the first Annual William E. Mee Regatta which was organized by the Mattapoisett Yacht Club and benefited MattSail.

Congratulations again to the winners and thanks to all of the participants for making this event and our fundraiser a huge success!

From the Standard Times:

Seventeen boats raced in two PHRF classes for the MattSail Regatta in honor of Billy Mee Aug. 1. In addition, four Ensigns and 11 Sunfish competed in the waters off Ned’s Point in Mattapoisett, all to raise money for the Mattapoisett Youth Sailing program.
